Starting a new semester or a Master’s program will certainly keep you busy. This is even more reason to take advantage of resources to keep you healthy and happy. ETH offers professional assistance to make it easier for students to cope with difficult periods in their life, stress or conflicts during their studies. You will also find several gym facilities from the ASVZ all across the city. We have gathered some tips and recommendations for you.
* Take care of yourself inside and out! Moving to a new city or country during a pandemic is not an easy task. Don’t feel afraid to reach out if you need help coping. ETH offers free of charge psychological counseling service in German, English, French, Dutch nd Polish. If you want advice on how to manage your studies, you can also reach out to your GESS Who! board or the student representatives from your program. We are here for you!
* ASVZ Gyms ranked – Stay physically active! Don’t forget that due to the covid-19 rules, everyone needs to book a workout beforehand on the ASVZ website sportfahrplan.
ETH Link takes you to the crown jewel of ASVZ gym facilities in just 15 minutes. The gym is spacious and has a large cardio, weight machine and free weights areas. Suitable for all kinds of workouts. (Don’t forget the separate free weights room!)
2. ASVZ Irchel
Only 2 km from ETH Centrum, ASVZ Irchel offers a great gym facility with medium-sized cardio, weight machine and free weight areas. More crowded than Hönggerberg!
A perfect gym for after or before lectures and lunch workouts, ASVZ Polyterasse offers a nice cardio room (including stair climbers!), a weight machine area and some free weights. This gym is great for isolation exercises but lacks the key equipment needed for compound exercises.
